The Invisible Life Grant supports cross-border investigative journalism projects related to farm animal welfare and European interests.

The programme focuses on underreported issues connected to food systems, farming, sustainability and the welfare of animals raised for food. It supports fact-based public-interest journalism and encourages evidence-based reporting rather than advocacy.

Supported projects should be published in at least two media outlets based in different countries, with at least one outlet based in Europe and targeting European audiences.

The grant can cover working time and reporting expenses such as travel, logistics, insurance, legal support, translations, access to technology and data sets. Teams may also apply for mentorship support.
