India Development Review (IDR) has announced multiple full-time job openings for candidates interested in editorial work, development communication, digital media, social impact, journalism, multimedia storytelling, and audience growth.
IDR is a nonprofit knowledge platform that publishes ideas, insights, and analysis on philanthropy and social impact in India. The current openings include roles across English editorial, digital strategy, and multimedia leadership.
Available positions
Editorial Analyst / Analyst – English Editorial
Experience required: 1–3 years
Compensation: ₹3.9–4.8 lakh per annum
Main work: Research, transcription, writing, editing, publishing articles, newsletter support, and editorial operations.
Editorial Associate / Associate – English Editorial
Experience required: 5–7 years
Compensation: ₹6.6–7.92 lakh per annum
Main work: Ideating, commissioning, writing, ghostwriting, editing stories, research, publishing, field visits, and editorial projects.
Senior Editorial Associate / Senior Associate – English Editorial
Experience required: 10–12 years
Compensation: ₹10.8–13.2 lakh per annum
Main work: Writing, editing, interviewing sector experts, managing editorial projects, guiding the editorial team, and building relationships with sector leaders.
Head of Digital
Experience required: 12–15 years
Compensation: ₹12–15 lakh per annum
Main work: Leading IDR’s digital strategy, audience growth, platform performance, analytics, digital systems, team management, SEO/AEO, and multi-platform content strategy.
Head of Multimedia
Experience required: 12–15 years / senior multimedia experience
Compensation: ₹12–15 lakh per annum
Main work: Building and leading IDR’s multimedia strategy across video, podcasts, photography, graphics, animation, AI-enabled storytelling, and emerging formats.
Most roles allow candidates to be located anywhere in India. For some editorial roles, candidates based in Delhi-NCR may need to come to office twice a week, candidates based in Mumbai once a week, and candidates located elsewhere in India may work remotely.
