Researchers and academics are invited to submit chapter proposals for the upcoming edited volume, Adaptive Learning and AI: Global Socio-Technical Discourses.
The proposed book examines AI-driven adaptive learning beyond purely technological perspectives. It aims to bring together interdisciplinary research on the educational, epistemological, social, political, and ethical implications of adaptive learning systems.
The editors particularly welcome chapters exploring how algorithmic technologies influence knowledge production, learner identity, educational agency, teaching practices, and learning environments across different global contexts.
Suggested themes include:
• Foundations of AI-driven adaptive learning
• Pedagogies for adaptive learning in global contexts
• Technologies supporting adaptive learning systems
• Power, policy, and social dimensions of adaptive learning
• Current implications and future directions
The proposed volume has received a Letter of Intent from Peter Lang. According to the call, the book will be submitted for Scopus indexing after publication. Scopus indexing should therefore not be understood as confirmed or guaranteed at this stage.
Researchers from education, artificial intelligence, media studies, communication, sociology, technology studies, policy, and related disciplines may find this opportunity relevant.
