The Journal of Digital Media & Policy invites proposals for a special issue examining media reform in post-conflict societies, including AI governance, digital resilience and democratic transformation.
Who can contribute
The call welcomes scholars, policymakers and practitioners internationally. Comparative and Global South perspectives are relevant. Participation in an earlier forum is not required.
Submission timetable
Abstract: Approximately 500 words plus a short biography, due 11 September 2026
Full manuscript: Due 11 March 2027 if invited
Length: 6,000–8,000 words including references
Planned issue: Volume 19.1, March 2028
Possible research directions
Media governance after conflict, AI and disinformation, sustainable journalism, pluralism and institutional change. Manuscripts undergo double-anonymised review and must not be under consideration elsewhere.
Developing a proposal
Specify the setting, research question, evidence and proposed contribution. Explain how the case illuminates media reform rather than relying only on a broad description of technological change.
