Media and Communication has announced the thematic issue “Reconceptualizing Deliberative Democracy and Journalism in AI-Mediated Public Spheres.” It seeks research on journalism, algorithmic curation, generative AI, democratic deliberation, participation, inequality, governance and platform power. Comparative work beyond Global North contexts is welcomed.
Initial submission: Abstract up to 250 words with a tentative title.
Abstract window: 1–15 October 2026.
Full-paper window: 15–28 February 2027.
