Blackmagic Design announced DaVinci Resolve 21 at NAB 2026 on 13 April 2026 and released it as a public beta.
The major update introduces a Photo page that brings DaVinci Resolve's node-based colour tools to still-image workflows. Announced AI-assisted additions include IntelliSearch for locating content, CineFocus for focal-point adjustments and facial-refinement tools. The Krokodove toolset adds more than 70 graphics in Fusion, while Fairlight folders are designed to simplify audio-track management. Blackmagic Design also listed improvements to keyframing, MultiMaster trim passes and node-graph views.
Because the announced release is a public beta, features and stability may change before a final version. Users should review current release notes, system requirements and backup recommendations before using beta software in critical production work.
