The National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is conducting a walk-in interview for the position of Consultant—Content Creation.
The selected candidate will work with NIDM’s Media Wing at its Delhi campus in Rohini.

Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess:
- A postgraduate degree in Journalism or Mass Communication
Candidates who obtained 60% marks or above in their postgraduate degree are desirable.
Required Experience
Applicants must have at least five years of content-creation experience in one or more of the following:
- Central Government organisations
- State Government organisations
- Public-sector undertakings
- Autonomous bodies
- Research institutes
- Training institutes
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of:
- Television writing and packages
- Institutional write-ups
- Social-media content
- Captions and graphics inputs
- Content creation and proofreading
Previous experience in a government organisation, training institute or disaster-management organisation is desirable.
Language Requirement
Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken Hindi and English.
Age Limit
The maximum age permitted is 40 years.
Job Responsibilities
The Consultant—Content Creation will undertake responsibilities including:
- Creating and editing write-ups, brochures, posters, flyers, leaflets and presentations
- Preparing press releases, speeches and media briefs
- Managing the dissemination and visibility of NIDM activities
- Developing scripts for videos, podcasts and radio programmes
- Producing multimedia content for disaster-risk-reduction awareness
- Coordinating media outreach, photography, videography and documentation
- Archiving major events and training programmes
- Editing and proofreading reports, publications and newsletters
- Assisting with institutional branding and stakeholder engagement
- Planning and coordinating studio-based lectures, interviews and podcasts
- Preparing scripts and transcripts for educational videos and documentaries
- Supporting audio-visual production, recording schedules and post-production
- Performing other communication, media and public-relations duties assigned by NIDM
Duration of Engagement
The initial engagement may be for three years.
It may subsequently be extended for up to another two years in six-month periods, subject to satisfactory performance. The maximum possible consultancy period is five years.
This is a full-time engagement. The selected consultant cannot undertake another assignment during the consultancy period.
