PhotoVogue is accepting worldwide submissions for its 2026 Global Open Call titled “Brave New Visions: Creativity as Rebellion.”

The open call invites photographers, video makers and multimedia artists to submit original work that responds to contemporary life through powerful and compelling visual storytelling.

Selected artists will share US$12,000 in grants and may receive international presentation, publication and portfolio-review opportunities.

Who Can Apply?

The open call is available to artists from every country.

Applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years old

Artists from India and other countries are eligible to participate.

Applicants who previously entered a PhotoVogue Open Call are encouraged to submit a new project.

Theme

“Brave New Visions: Creativity as Rebellion” encourages artists to challenge familiar narratives, resist indifference and explore new forms of visual expression.

The call does not require applicants to illustrate a narrowly defined subject. Instead, artists are invited to take a position in relation to the contemporary world—what they question, resist, imagine, defend or hope to change.

Submission Requirements

Applicants may submit:

• A series containing up to 15 images
• A combination of images and video for a multimedia project
• A video trailer of up to 60 seconds
• Both an image or multimedia series and a video trailer

AI-generated works are not eligible.

Grant Awards

Three artists will receive grants totalling US$12,000:

• Outstanding Vision Grant: US$6,000
• Vision Grant: US$4,000
• Rising Voice Grant: US$2,000

The Outstanding Vision Grant recognises work that expands the boundaries of visual language.

The Vision Grant supports an artist with a strong and distinctive perspective.

The Rising Voice Grant is intended for an emerging artist whose work demonstrates originality, clarity and promise.

Additional Opportunities

Selected artists will also receive opportunities including:

• Presentation at the next PhotoVogue Festival
• Potential publication across Vogue’s international editions
• Participation in PhotoVogue Virtual Portfolio Reviews
• International recognition through PhotoVogue’s creative network

Publication across Vogue editions is a potential opportunity and should not be interpreted as guaranteed publication for every selected artist.

1. Develop an original photography, video or multimedia project.
2. Select a series of up to 15 images or prepare a multimedia submission.
3. If relevant, prepare a video trailer of no more than 60 seconds.
4. Create or access an account on the Picter submission platform.
5. Complete the online application.
6. Upload the required project materials.
7. Review the submission carefully.
